Our Expedition Leaders live here year-round and know this region like few others. With an
average of eight years’ guiding experience, our seasoned naturalists have in-depth knowledge of the places we visit, the behavioral patterns of wildlife, and where and when to be in particular places to see animals. We can't emphasize enough how much difference this expertise makes to your overall experience. Each Expedition Leader has a formal biology background and is also a natural history educator. Our guides are the senior personnel in the Yellowstone area, called on to train other local guides. They are also in constant communication with local wolf researchers, giving our groups the most up-to-date, inside knowledge of wolf locations and activity. See Expedition Leader bios with traveler comments regarding the quality of our leaders. We have meticulously designed this itinerary to feature out-of-the-way corners of Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks that big tour groups—and most visitors—miss. Our in-depth knowledge of the Yellowstone ecosystem means we can take you to lesser-known areas where wildlife viewing is better and crowds are few. Over the years we’ve developed relationships with a range of interesting locals, and we enjoy providing our guests with experiences they wouldn’t have access to on their own, like visiting a local naturalist and photographer in his home.
