Saramsa Garden

Established in 1922, Saramsa Garden started off as a place meant for cultivating fruit for the local
colonial officers. It was later it later that it became famous for growing the medicinal plant ipecacuanha.
But eventually the garden became orchidarium and a public recreational garden for tourists and locals. In 2008, the garden was the venue for the International Floriculture Show.
The garden is located between the slopes of Gangtok and Pakyong, about 14 kilometres away from Gangtok on the Pakyong road. Read more: makemytrip.com/travel-guide/gangtok/parks-gardens.html
