Right Tourism campaign

Finland is a great destination for wildlife lovers. Most will be familiar with the country’s “Big 4”,

namely the Brown bear, the Grey wolf, the Eurasian lynx and the wolverine. The country’s unspoiled forests are home to many other mammals such as the elk, beaver, reindeer, and Red fox. National parks and nature reserves are often the best places to see such wildlife. Bear watching has become popular with tourists, but please read our tips on wildlife watching here. Finland is also home to one of the most endangered species of freshwater seals in the world, the Saimaa Ringed Seal. The seals live mainly in the national parks of Kolovesi and Linnansaari. Thanks to Finland being one of the most northern countries in the world, its bird population features a number of species rarely encountered anywhere else in Europe, making it very popular with birdwatchers. Finnish cuisine is well known for the inclusion of reindeer meat, particularly in Lapland. However for most Finns, reindeer is exotic fare and it is usually seen in restaurants catering to tourists. In one such restaurant in Helsinki, around 80% of its customers come from abroad. Please read more about avoiding exotic food and drinks on holiday here. More...http://right-tourism.com
